Your generosity supports classes, workshops, demonstrations, visiting instructors, and educational outreach, helping Central Ohio Shibui Ikebana grow and serve our community for years to come.

Why Your Support Matters

Founded as a study group in 2024 and recognized as an Ohara School Chapter in 2026, Central Ohio Shibui brings people together to learn and appreciate Japanese floral art. Contributions help us expand educational opportunities and build a sustainable future for Ohara Ikebana in Central Ohio.

Two Ways to Support Our Chapter

1. Designated giving through the Ikebana Iwaya Fund

Make a contribution through the Ikebana Iwaya Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and designate Central Ohio Shibui Ikebana (Ohara) as the recipient. The full amount of your designated contribution goes to our Chapter.

Donate Through the Ikebana Iwaya Fund

2. Give directly to Central Ohio Shibui Ikebana

As an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity, we can accept charitable contributions directly. Please contact us for current giving instructions while we finalize our online donation options.

How Designated Giving Helps Two Organizations

When you designate a contribution through the Ikebana Iwaya Fund, 100% of that gift goes to Central Ohio Shibui Ikebana. At the same time, the contribution counts toward the Fund’s public-donor support requirements, helping strengthen its ability to support ikebana education and activities throughout the wider ikebana community.

This is not a matching gift. A $100 designated contribution provides $100 to our Chapter, not $200.

Memorial Gifts and Retirement Contributions

The Ikebana Iwaya Fund offers In Memoriam and In Memoriam Designated options on its donation form. You can provide the name of the person being remembered and contact information for the family.

If you plan to contribute through an IRA or another financial institution, contact the Ikebana Iwaya Fund in advance with your name, contact information, and intended designation. Gifts sent by financial institutions sometimes arrive without identifying the donor. Please consult your tax adviser about tax treatment and eligibility.

Donor Privacy

We appreciate every contribution, regardless of its size. Central Ohio Shibui does not publish donor names or contribution amounts. Information provided when you make a direct contribution is used for our records, acknowledgment of your gift, and other purposes necessary to administer your contribution.

The Ikebana Iwaya Fund offers an anonymous giving option on its donation form. Donor information is otherwise shared with our Chapter when designated funds are forwarded.
