Community Dinner and Celebration Meet & Greet

Join us on Tuesday evening, August 11, for a relaxed and welcoming community dinner celebrating flowers, friendship, and the growing Ikebana community in Central Ohio.

This special evening brings together students, guests, workshop participants, and anyone who appreciates Japanese culture for an informal Ohio-style barbecue dinner with Sub-Grand Master Jose Salcedo during his first visit to Central Ohio.

The evening will include:

  • Time to meet Jose-Sensei
  • Connect with fellow attendees
  • Celebrate recent student certificate achievements
  • Simply enjoy good food and conversation together in a casual setting

Guests and family members are warmly welcomed and encouraged to attend.

The dinner will be held at the iconic JP’s Barbecue near Bolton Field Airport, a beloved Columbus institution known for great barbecue, warm hospitality, and its unique aviation atmosphere.

Dress is casual. This is intended to be a fun, celebratory, and welcoming evening for everyone.

Registration is $35 per person and includes dinner, non-alcoholic beverages, coffee, and dessert.

Vegetarian meal options are available.

Registration closes Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 5 PM.
